Arrive Cochin Airport by flight. On arrival proceed to Cochin – known as the Queen of the Arabian Sea.

Cochin-also known as Kochi-is the biggest city of Kerala. It is famously known as the commercial capital of Kerala. Besides being an important commercial city Cochin is also a big tourist attraction. The place has contributed significantly to tourism in Kerala. Apart from being a popular tourist place Kochi is also a gateway to Kerala. Cochin is the doorway to number of tourist attractions. Kochi (Kochi) is palm-green commercial town of Kerala and the city consists of the mainland Ernakulam, Willingdon Island, Mattancherry, Fort Cochin, Vypeen Island and Bolghatty Island. Ernakulam is the modern city where shopping market, bazaar etc are located. From time immemorial, Arab, Chinese, Dutch and British and Portuguese seafarers followed the sea route to Kochi and left their impression on the town. The Chinese fishing nets swaying in the breeze over backwaters, the Jewish Synagogue, Dutch Palace, Portuguese architecture, Bolghatty Palace in Kochi enrich the heritage of Kerala
After breakfast go for a short sightseeing tour of Cochin covering St. Francis Church, Jewish Synagogue, Dutch Palace and the Chinese Fishing Nets. Later witness the Kathakali Dance Performance at an AC Theatre in Cochin. Overnight at the resort.
Kerala's most visited tourist destination, Kochi, has one of the finest natural harbours in India around which is based an ancient history of maritime trade. The cosmopolitan city is fascinating in many ways - the beautiful sea front with Chinese fishing nets and stalls selling seafood; the traditional Fort Kochi area with its mix of Dutch, British, Muslim and Portuguese architecture; and the older city of Ernakulam steeped in Malayali culture. Built around a saltwater lagoon, the bustling seaport city on the southwest coast of India is actually a cluster of islands and peninsulas. Once an obscure fishing village, the city became a major trade centre after the port of Kodungallur was destroyed by massive flooding of the Periyar River in 1341. The first European township of India, Kochi still retains its colonial flavours intact in the city's heritage quarters. Spices, sandalwood and seafood drew Portuguese, Dutch and the British to this lovely port city and today, Kochi is a colourful mix of eclectic cultures including Chinese and Jew influences.
Morning after breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Thekkady. On arrival check in at the resort. Evening go for an Elephant ride ( Optional ) and later proceed to the resort.

The spice plantation in Thekkady is one of the major spice plantations in Kerala. The 120 years old 'Surki' dam built across Peryiar, Poorna in Vedic parlance, is a major tourist attraction. This sanctuary is spread over an area of 777 Sq.Kms, surrounded by an artificial lake over an area of 25 Sq.Kms.

THEKKADY - KUMARAKOM |

Morning after breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Kumarakom – known as the Land of Backwaters. Overnight at the resort.
Kumarakom is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna. Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary is a noted bird sanctuary where many species of migratory birds visit. The Vembanad Lake, the largest backwater in Kerala, is habitat for many marine and freshwater fish species and it teems with Karimeen (Pearl spot), shrimp (chemmeen in the local language) and prawns. The bird sanctuary extends over 14 acres (57,000 m²), and came into existence following preservation efforts from the government. It is a major tourist attraction. Agriculture, fishing and tourism are the major economic activities. Kumarakom's perfectly balanced tropical climate is very conductive to cultivation. HOUSEBOAT– KOVALAM |

Morning after breakfast, check out from the houseboat and proceed to Kovalam. On arrival check in at resort. Overnight at the resort.
Kovalam is a beach town on the Arabian Sea in Kerala, a state in south India. It is located around 13 km from Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum). Kovalam was brought to the public eye by the Maharaja of Travancore. The European guests of the then Travancore kingdom discovered the potentiality of Kovalam beach as a tourist destination in the 1930s. However, Kovalam shot into limelight in the early seventies with arrivals of the masses of hippies. This exodus started the transformation of a casual fishing village of Kerala into one of the most important tourist destinations in all India. Kovalam has three crescent shaped beaches separated by rocky outcroppings. Shallow waters stretching for hundreds of metres are ideal for swimming. The beaches have steep palm covered headlands and are lined with shops that offer all kinds of goods and services.

KOVALAM -KANYAKUMARI -KOVALAM |

Morning after breakfast, go for a short sightseeing of Kanyakumari. Later proceed to Kovalam. Overnight at the resort.
The name of this place has been christened after the virgin goddess – Kanyakumari Amman. Mythological stories depict that Goddess parvati under the disguise of Devi Kanniya did a penance in one of the rocks in this area to reach the hand of Lord Shiva. This place is also a popular pilgrimage. The tourists who visit this southern most tip of India would certainly enjoy the exuberant scenes of the sunsets, the sunrises especially on full moon days. The nature of the sand in the beaches of Kanyakumari is unique as it is multicolored. Lakhs of tourist, round the year are lured by the serene beauty of this place and the spectacles of sunrise and sunset. Though sunrise can be viewed throughout the year, sunset is visible only from October 15 to March 15 from this southernmost tip. But one can view both sunrise and sunset throughout the year from atop a hill called Murugan Kundram which offers a panoramic view of Kanyakumari. The sunset and moonrise can be seen almost simultaneously on full moon days from the same spot. It is a unique spectacle.

KOVALAM – TRIVANDRUM - KOVALAM |

Morning after breakfast go for a short sightseeing tour of Trivandrum. Later proceed to Kovalam. Overnight at the resort.
Trivandrum - the capital of the state of Kerala, the God's Own Country, now known by the name. Thiruvananthapuram, literally translates into the "abode of Lord Anantha". The Sri Padmanabhaswamy Temple, a highly venerated temple for Keralites, in the heart of the city is devoted to the deity Lord Anantha. The city of Thiruvananthapuram is located in the South of the state and bordered by Tiruneveli in the East, Kanyakumari to the South and Kollam district located to its North. The city is a must on the itinerary of any visitor to the South India. The city being the capital is the center spot for the political activities of the State.
